In 2002, WCT was awarded the Panagarh-Palsit (KM517 to KM581) and Durgapur (KM581 to KM646) expressway contract on a Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) basis. The scope of works included the financing, design, supervision, construction and upgrading of the existing two-lane road into a four-lane expressway.
These expressways form part of India’s West Bengal National Highway 2.
