Common Construction Access and Permanent Roads
On 18 July 2014, WCT was awarded the RM341.9 million contract from Petronas Refinery and Petrochemical Corporation Sdn Bhd to undertake the construction of access and permanent roads within the RAPID site at Pengerang, Johor.
The scope of work includes:
(i) The development and construction of all the common permanent and temporary roads, temporary drainage system, temporary drainage culverts, permanent bridges and road crossings, cable and utilities crossings, car and bus parking bay, Material Off Loading Facilities (“MOLF”) paving area, soil improvement works and post development works within RAPID Site;
(ii) The maintenance of all roads, temporary drains and culverts, bridges throughout RAPID construction period;
(iii) The maintenance of the Temporary Access Road within RAPID Site; and
(iv) The maintenance of the Access Road outside RAPID Site and Haulage Road from Teluk Ramunia Wharf to RAPID Site boundary.
Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (PCC) of Civil & Infrastructure Works at Petchem Interconnecting and 6900 Area (Package 14-0302) and Petchem Interconnecting South Area (Package 14-0303) for Utilities, Interconnecting and Offsite (UIO)
On 26 October 2015, PRPC Utilities and Facilities Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary of Petroliam Nasional Berhad (“PETRONAS”) Group, awarded WCT with a RM267million contract. The scope of works includes earthworks, piling works, concrete works, storm water drainage system, construction and paving of roads, underground piping works and earthing networks at Petchem Interconnecting and 6900 Area (Package 14-0302) and Petchem Interconnecting South Area (Package 14-0303).
This area provides central utility facilities, overall interconnecting and interfaces with Refinery and Petrochemical packages and is part of the RAPID complex.
Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (EPCC) of Substations (275kV, 33kV, 11kV), Field Auxiliary Rooms, Operator Shelter Buildings and Local Control Building (Package 14-1702)
On 9 November 2015, WCT secured a RM316 million contract from PRPC Utilities and Facilities Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary of Petroliam Nasional Berhad (“PETRONAS”) Group. This contract consists of the engineering, procurement, construction & commissioning of 17 electrical substations (SUB), 4 field auxiliary rooms (FAR), 5 operator shelter buildings (OSB) and 1 local building (LCB), of which 12 out of the total 27 buildings are blast proof buildings with 5kpa-14kpa blast pressure.
The scope of works includes earthworks, environmental protection of the site and to the surroundings, piling and foundation works, architectural works, building structural works (blast proof building), building service works, health, safety and environment design, civil works/ external works, architectural 3D model.
Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (PCC) of Civil and Infrastructure Works at Storm Drain Central Area (Package 14-0401)
On 14 December 2015, WCT secured a RM323 million contract from from PRPC Utilities and Facilities Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary of Petroliam Nasional Berhad (“PETRONAS”) Group.
The scope of works for the Contract includes phased demolition and restoration works, excavation and backfillings works, storm drainage works, piling works, roads & paving works, underground piping works, concrete works, structural works, electrical and instrumentation works and any other miscellaneous works.
