Dam and Water Supply Scheme
Kudat Water Supply Scheme - Milau Dam, Sabah, Malaysia
The project involved the construction of new water treatment plant, dam, reservoirs and pipelines near Sungai Milau to supplement the existing Kudat Water Supply System to provide 55 MLD of treated water to serve the Kudat District.

The major components of the proposed scheme involves construction of the North Milau Dam, Milau Treatment Works and the associated distribution system consisting of balancing reservoirs, service storage reservoirs and the main transmission pipelines from the treatment plants of the reservoirs. Both dam and headworks are located near Kg. Nangka in Kudat District.

The scope of work includes civil and structural works of the following except the laying of pipelines and all the mechanical and electrical works :
- Construction of a dam on the North tributary of Sg. Milau to regulate the flow in Sg. Milau
- Construction of Water Treatment Plants (55 MLD) including associated facilities to satisfy the water demand
in the Project area up to year 2020
- Construction of Staff Quarters for the Treatment Plant
- Construction of balancing tanks and services reservoirs with sufficient capacity to provide an equivalent of one (1) day (24 hours) storage within the supply areas based on the demand up to year 2020
- Construction of booster pumping station if necessary
- Provide all necessary labour, materials, plants, equipment, personnel and so on for construction and maintenance of the works of the project
- Maintain the works of the project for a periods of two (2) years upon the certified completion date
